In the framework of FoReCaST, we will use micro- and nano-fabrication tools together with nanotechnology approaches to engineer a novel generation of organ-on-chip models of cancer.

Organs-on-chip are biomimetic microfluidic devices containing human cells capable to replicate fundamental functional units of human tissues and organs in vitro. Applied to cancer research, organ-on-chip models of cancer emerge as a promising methodology for studying the disease under physiological-like conditions.
